The Judgment

Nobody knew the aliens had landed.

The trial dragged on and on, "ORDER IN THE COURT!" for as soon as the prosecution practically proved the defendant guilty (a handsome upperclass male in his mid-thirties), new evidence would be introduced which invalidated all previous evidence, while unquestionably proving the defendant innocent. "SOMETHING REALLY WRONG IS GOING ON HERE!" Finally after much difficulty, the prosecution rests.

The jury deliberates for weeks and weeks, TICK! TICK! TICK! a verdict is reached. All is quiet, SH! and the judge addresses the defendant,"YOU HAVE BEEN FOUND, BY A JURY OF YOUR PEERS, TO BE GUILTY OF FIRST DEGREE MURDER. DO YOU HAVE ANYTHING TO SAY BEFORE SENTENCING?"

"YES," says the alien, shedding its disguise like a gypsy moth, BUZZ! (All of the witnesses and court observers follow suit.) "YOU AND YOUR CONSTITUENTS HAVE BEEN FOUND GUILTY OF JUDGEMENT!"

The aliens then proceed to destroy the judge, ZAP! the jury, ZAP! the court house, ZAP! and themselves, ZAP! Thermo-nuclear missiles orbit the globe like cobwebs, the explosions echoing noiselessly into the boundless, ka-BOOM!
